The name says country club, and nothing we could read tells us whether that means anything. VIP Country Club publishes no membership requirement, and no source states that outside couples may book either. We could not load vipcountryclub.com from this session at all, so the question stayed open. What we did read: the Eventective listing for the venue and The Knot’s New Rochelle reception venue marketplace. The Knot carries a starting price of $21,300 with no membership caveat attached, and under our rules a listing is not a policy. Eventective describes two function rooms, the Grand Ballroom and the West Wing Ballroom, running to about 25,000 square feet at 600 Davenport Avenue on the New Rochelle waterfront. Ask the venue directly whether anyone can book, and get that answer before you look at dates. Every figure below came from a marketplace. Not one of them has been confirmed by the venue.

One number exists for this venue and it belongs to The Knot: $21,300 to start. It is a total rather than a per person rate, and nobody publishes what it includes or what sits on top of it. Every other line here is blank. Because the venue’s own site would not load for us, none of this has been checked against the business itself. Ask for a written quote, and ask the membership question first, because the name raises it and no source settles it.

The Eventective listing for the venue, Eventective’s New Rochelle wedding venue directory and The Knot’s New Rochelle reception venue marketplace, all read on 11 September 2026. The venue’s own site at vipcountryclub.com could not be reached from this session. Checked September 2026. First party means the business’s own site or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot or similar. Nothing here is averaged or estimated.

No first party source could be read, so every figure here is marketplace sourced and unconfirmed. The membership question is unresolved: the venue is named as a club, and nothing published says whether anyone can book it.

Two ballrooms and a capacity that changes with the listing

Eventective describes two function spaces, the Grand Ballroom and the West Wing Ballroom, totalling roughly 25,000 square feet, and gives a maximum of 900 guests. The Knot lists the same venue at 300 or more. Both are marketplace figures and neither has been confirmed by the venue. A room for 900 and a room for 300 are not the same purchase, so this is the first thing to resolve on a call.

Two rooms also raise the exclusivity question. Nothing is published about whether both can run at once, which means a second event on your date stays possible until somebody tells you it is not. Ask whether the building is yours or only your ballroom, and ask where the other party’s guests would park.

The rooms themselves are barely described. Eventective names the Grand Ballroom and the West Wing Ballroom and gives a combined square footage for meeting and event space, and that is the whole of the published detail. Which room takes 900 and which takes fewer, whether either has windows on the water, whether there is a separate ceremony space or a cocktail room: none of it is on record. Ask for a floor plan with the capacities marked on it, and ask which of the two rooms the price you were quoted refers to.

The $21,300 on The Knot is a starting total, not a rate per guest

The Knot publishes a starting price of $21,300 for the venue and does not split it into a site fee and a food and beverage component. There is no per person figure anywhere, no minimum, no service charge and no gratuity policy. We will not divide a total by a guest count to manufacture a rate, so the honest answer is that the per person cost of this venue is unknown.

Eventective publishes no price at all, which leaves one number for the whole property. Marketplace starting prices routinely exclude service charges, taxes and gratuity, and nobody has told us what this one excludes. Ask what the $21,300 buys: how many hours, how many guests, whether a ceremony is included, and what lands on top of it.

We could not open the venue’s own website, and that shapes this whole page

The address vipcountryclub.com would not load from this session. The fetch tool refused the host and a direct connection was blocked by the session’s own egress policy, which is a limitation at our end and not evidence of anything about the venue. Eventective gives that address as the official site. The scraped record we started from carried a www variant that we could not successfully test either.

The consequence is simple. Every figure on this page is marketplace sourced and none of it is first party. Treat this record as a list of questions rather than a specification of the venue.

On site catering is the only catering anyone describes

Eventective says catering is on site and menus are designed with the venue’s own staff. No outside caterer policy is published, no approved vendor list appears anywhere, and no outside vendor fee is stated. There is no published end time and no rain plan either. For a venue of this size, that is a lot of unanswered contract language.

Waterfront is the other claim the listings make. The Knot describes the venue as a waterfront property in New Rochelle, and 600 Davenport Avenue sits on the shoreline. No listing describes a terrace, a lawn or a dock, and the only place that detail would live is the venue’s own site. Add it to the call list.

The listings at least agree on the address

Eventective and The Knot both carry a current listing as of 11 September 2026, with the same address at 600 Davenport Avenue in New Rochelle, inside Westchester County. That is enough to say the venue exists and is being marketed. It is not enough to say it is operating normally, which is why our record says the operating status is unconfirmed.

We would rather write that plainly than pad this page. A venue with no readable website is a venue with no published terms, and every question here stays open until a person at the venue answers it.

There is a practical version of that advice. Ask for the package sheet as a PDF by email, ask for the contract template before you pay a deposit, and read the cancellation clause. When a business publishes nothing, the contract is the first document that actually commits it to anything, and it is worth more than a tour.

The name is doing work, and you should make it stop

VIP Country Club is listed everywhere as an event venue rather than a membership club, and no source says a membership is required. No source says one is not required, either. That is why the who can book row above says not published rather than open to the public. A marketplace listing with a starting price and no caveat is not a policy statement, and we do not treat it as one.

So the first question on the call is blunt. Can anyone book a wedding here, or is there a membership or a sponsorship attached to the name. The second is the capacity, published as both 900 and 300 or more. The third is a written quote at your guest count showing the minimum, the service charge and how tax is applied. If the venue’s site is loading by the time you read this, start there instead.
