Bonnie Briar Country Club does not say whether a non member can host a wedding here, and it does not say a member must sponsor one either. We checked and could not resolve it. The club runs a public facing page inviting you to contact its Assistant General Manager to book an event, and gives a direct line on 914-834-0992 extension 242. But no page on the site uses the words open to the public, non members welcome or member sponsored, and none of the hosting, contact, membership or home pages settles the question. This is a private 18 hole golf club at 808 Weaver Street in Larchmont, with an in house executive chef and a director of food and beverage, and it publishes a dated 2026 Banquet Package Menus document. That document is served as an image only flipbook, so no price could be read from it. Make one phone call before you plan anything around this club.

There is no price here, and there is no capacity. The club maintains a dated 2026 banquet package document, which suggests real packages exist, but it is published as images and cannot be read. No marketplace listing with a starting price was confirmed on any of the four major platforms. Ask for the banquet menus with prices attached, then ask the service charge, the tax treatment and the minimum. Ask about eligibility first.

The club home page, its hosting an event page, its contact page and its 2026 Banquet Package Menus flipbook at bonniebriar.org. All fetched 11 September 2026. Checked September 2026. First party means the business’s own site or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot or similar. Nothing here is averaged or estimated.

Member policy is unresolved. The club publishes no statement either way, so do not treat it as bookable by the public without a direct confirmation from the Assistant General Manager. No pricing of any kind is readable on the site.

What the club says, and the one thing it never says

The hosting page invites enquiries directly and warmly: contact the Assistant General Manager to book your event. It describes a range of settings, from a small fireside dinner to an outdoor party overlooking the 18th hole. Booking goes through a named role at a direct extension rather than through an outside catering brand, which means the club runs its own events operation.

What no page does is state who is eligible. We read the home page, the hosting page, the contact page and the banquet menus document. None of them says a non member may host. None says a member must sponsor. None says outside events are accepted or declined. A public phone extension is not a policy, so we are recording this as unresolved.

There is a reasonable explanation for the silence. Plenty of clubs take member events only and never think to say so, because every reader they have in mind already knows. There is an equally reasonable explanation the other way, which is that the club takes outside business and has not updated its site. Both are consistent with what is published, and that is the problem.

No marketplace fills the gap either

We could not confirm a listing carrying a starting price for this club on The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola or Wedding Spot. That is a small piece of evidence in itself. Clubs that actively court outside weddings usually show up on at least one of those platforms with a number attached.

It is not proof of anything, and it will not be treated as proof here. But it does mean there is no second source to check the club’s silence against.

The only rate document on the site cannot be read

The club publishes a 2026 Banquet Package Menus document, and the date on it is genuinely useful: banquet packages here are actively maintained rather than left over from 2019. The problem is the format. It is served as an image only flipbook, and no price text could be extracted from it.

So ask for the banquet package menus as a PDF or a printed sheet, with prices. Ask for the per person rate at your date, the service charge or administrative fee as a percentage, how tax is calculated, and whether a maitre d’ fee or bridal attendant fee applies. None of that is published anywhere on the site.

The 2026 date is the useful part. It means a current banquet operation exists with maintained packages, which is more than can be said for club sites still carrying menus from three years ago. Ask for this year’s version in a readable format, because it plainly exists.

Catering is the club’s own, and nothing else about vendors is written down

The club describes its culinary team collaborating with you on a menu, so food and beverage is in house. Beyond that there is no published vendor policy: no approved list, no statement on outside caterers, no outside vendor fee.

No capacity is published for any space. No room names are given. No exclusivity statement exists, no end time is stated, and there is no rain plan, despite the club describing both indoor fireside and outdoor 18th hole settings. That is a lot of blanks for a venue that invites you to book today.

An in house executive chef and a director of food and beverage are worth noting as well. The club runs its own kitchen rather than handing events to an outside catering brand, which usually means more control over the menu and fewer parties to coordinate. It also means one price and no competing bid.

What the club does publish, and why it still is not an answer

The hosting page describes its range in its own words: everything from a small and intimate fireside dinner to a lavish outdoor party overlooking the 18th hole. That is the club describing its own spaces, and it is the closest thing to a room list anywhere on the site.

It is not a capacity, a floor plan or a policy. There are no named rooms, no square footage, no seated numbers and no photograph of a wedding set. So even after reading every public page, you cannot tell whether your 140 guests fit indoors, whether the 18th hole party is tented, or whether either is available to somebody who is not a member.

The club is trading, and here is how we know

The site is live and current. It carries a 2026 club brochure and an open house invitation dated 20 September 2026, alongside the 2026 banquet menus. Whatever the membership answer turns out to be, the club is operating and its events programme is current.

Your call should have two parts and a clear order. First, can we hold a wedding here, and does a member need to sponsor it? Only after a yes should you ask about the room, the date, the headcount and the price.

If the answer is yes, ask straight away how many dates the club releases to outside events in a season, and which ones. A wedding booked through an assistant general manager rather than a dedicated sales team tends to move at the club’s pace rather than yours.
