Member sponsored only: to host an event you must be a member or be sponsored by one. The Bandshell Terazzo seats 700.
You cannot book Westchester Country Club unless you are a member or a member sponsors your event. The club states it plainly on both its Weddings page and its Meetings and Special Events page: to host an event you must be a Member or be sponsored by a Member. That is the first fact about this property and it governs everything else on the page. Without a member, the capacities and the history below are reading material. The Beach Club at 199 Manursing Way opened on 10 June 1922, part of John Bowman’s Westchester Biltmore development. It has 1,000 feet of beach on Long Island Sound and a saltwater pool of roughly 900,000 gallons drawn straight from the Sound. It runs seasonally, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and the club publishes no event capacity for it at all. The published wedding rooms are at the main clubhouse, 99 Biltmore Avenue: the Biltmore Room, the Westchester Room and the Bandshell Terazzo, which the club lists at 700 for a seated meal and 1,000 for a reception. Events run through the club’s own Sales and Catering department.
None of these numbers matter until the membership question is settled, because the club will not take an unsponsored booking. If you do have a sponsoring member, start with the seated capacity of the Biltmore Room, which the club’s own two pages give as 280 and 320. Then ask the per person rate for your date, the service charge and tax treatment, and whether the 200 guest Saturday minimum applies to your month. No Beach Club event capacity exists, so ask what is actually available at Manursing Way.
The club’s Beach Club page, Weddings page and Meetings and Special Events page at westchestercc.org, plus the old wccclub.org URLs, which redirect there. All read 11 September 2026. Checked September 2026. First party means the business’s own site or rate card. Marketplace means The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola, Wedding Spot or similar. Nothing here is averaged or estimated.
You cannot book here unless a member sponsors the event. That is the club’s own published rule and there is no route around it.
The sentence appears twice on the club’s site, on the Weddings page and on the Meetings and Special Events page. To host an event you must be a Member or be sponsored by a Member. The Sales and Catering staff, the club adds, is happy to assist. There is no ambiguity to work around.
In practice that means a non member cannot walk in with a date and a budget. You need a member willing to attach their name to the event. Events are run by the club’s own Sales and Catering department at (914) 967-6000 rather than by an outside catering brand, so there is no third party route in either.
This listing is filed under the Beach Club, and the Beach Club is a seasonal members’ facility rather than a published wedding space. It runs Memorial Day through Labor Day, seven days a week. The main saltwater pool holds roughly 900,000 gallons fed from Long Island Sound, with diving and a two story slide. There is also a secured children’s wading pool, 1,000 feet of beach and a man made lagoon.
It has five dining outlets: the Main Bar, the Beachside Grill, a Snack Bar, an Ice Cream Shoppe and The Gun Club fine dining restaurant. What it does not have is a published event capacity. Every banquet figure the club publishes belongs to the main clubhouse at 99 Biltmore Avenue.
The club publishes 700 for a seated meal and 1,000 for a reception on the Bandshell Terazzo, which is an outdoor space. The Biltmore Room takes 250 with a dance floor and 350 for a reception. The Westchester Room takes 170 with a dance floor, 200 for a seated meal and 250 for a reception. The three Salons are conference rooms for 12 to 25.
For a wedding of 600 or more there is very little else in Westchester at that scale. The membership requirement is what keeps that capacity out of reach for most couples.
The Weddings page lists the Biltmore Room at 250 with a dance floor, 280 for a seated meal and 350 for a reception. The Meetings and Special Events page lists the same room at 250 dinner dance, 320 for a seated meal, 350 reception, 160 classroom and 350 theatre.
The club’s own two pages give the Biltmore Room different seated meal figures: 280 on the Weddings page, 320 on the Meetings and Special Events page. We record both and reconcile neither. If your guest list sits anywhere between those two numbers, get the seated figure from Sales and Catering in writing.
That is a guest minimum rather than a dollar food and beverage minimum, and it attaches to the Biltmore Room. No dollar minimum is published anywhere, and neither is a per person rate, a site fee, a service charge percentage or a tax treatment.
So a Saturday evening wedding here in season starts at 200 people before you have discussed a menu. For a smaller wedding, ask about the Westchester Room and about weeknights.
The club publishes no pricing of any kind. Nothing on The Knot, WeddingWire, Zola or Wedding Spot carries a starting price for it either, which is consistent with a club that does not sell to the public.
One technical note. The old wccclub.org domain, including the Beach Club page, redirects to westchestercc.org. If you have a bookmark or a listing pointing at the old domain, it still works, but the live site is westchestercc.org.
This matters for anyone touring. The Beach Club is at 199 Manursing Way on Manursing Island. The banquet rooms are all at 99 Biltmore Avenue: Biltmore, Westchester, the Bandshell Terazzo and the three Salons. They are one club and two properties.
If a member is sponsoring you and the picture in your head is the water, be specific about which address you are asking to book. The club publishes no event capacity for Manursing Way at all and runs it as a seasonal members’ facility from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Every capacity this page can give you belongs to the clubhouse on Biltmore Avenue, not to the beach.
